Should I import my airsoft guns?

Most new players check out many different websites looking for the lowest prices before they buy their first airsoft purchase. At first glance, the prices on Japanese retailer sites seem dramatically cheaper. The price difference may be nearly $100! Unfortunately after you factor in shipping and handling, you are paying about the same price, if not more. Add in problems with customs, and it just isn't worth it except in many circumstances.

One reason to import airsoft products is large orders. If you are considering ordering $1000+ worth of materials, perhaps to sell them retail yourself, importing airsoft guns and equipment makes sense. If you have little airsoft experience, I strongly recommend that you do not do this.

In some cases certain specialty airsoft items, such as gun body kits, can only be purchases overseas. In this case you have no option but to order from some place such as Japan or Hong Kong. There are many reputable overseas dealers that will be happy to do business with you.
